What a visit records

Once you scroll, move the pointer, touch the screen or press a key, or once a page has been visible for five seconds, the page sends this server one short note. It holds the page address, the page that linked you here, your screen size, what made it send and whether the browser says it is automated. The server adds your IP address, your browser's user agent, the time and its own guess whether the visit came from a bot.

When a known search engine or other crawler loads a page, the server records the same details for that request. Notes that known bots send are thrown away.

The records only count readers and tell people from bots. They are not shared with anyone.

Where it is kept

The records sit in a database on the server that runs this site, at Hetzner in Germany. They are not deleted automatically. To have your records deleted, write to me@martymonero.com with the day of your visit and your IP address.

What stays in your browser

Your colour theme is kept in your browser's local storage. The AKI Anvil, Rare Ratchet and ROM Rift keep their settings there too, such as panel sizes, sort orders and the moves you built. Each tool keeps the last six cartridges you opened in IndexedDB, with your changes, so you can open them again.

Cartridges, photos and videos you open in a tool are read in your browser and never uploaded. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.

Nothing from other sites

Fonts, icons, pictures and videos come from this server. The pages embed nothing from other sites, and a link to another site only takes you there when you follow it.

Server logs

The site itself writes no request log. The proxy in front of it logs a request only when passing it on fails, with the IP address, time, page address and request headers. That log is not public, and its oldest entries are overwritten once it reaches 30 MB.
